BROADCASTING NEWS COMMENTARIES AS A STRATEGY FOR SOCIAL CHANGE

                       

   ABSTRACT:

This project discusses broadcasting news commentaries as a strategy for social change. It evaluates the significance of broadcasting news commentaries and its relationship with social change. A hundred and twenty questionnaires were shared amongst journalists of selected radio and television stations. It was also shared amongst selected regular listeners and viewers of the radio and television stations. Interviews and surveys were also conducted.

 

Primary and secondary data were used the analysis. Both frequency distribution and regression analysis were used.

 

It was observed therefore that broadcasting news commentaries have a significant positive impact on social change.. Also, there is a positive relationship between broadcasting news commentaries and social change.
